On this occasion, we share a post about the updates announced by the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language (RAE)<\/a><\/strong>. As every year, the SAR makes a dent in the language to new words rather than accepted in the colloquial language.<\/p>\n

As teachers of Spanish<\/strong> we must keep up to date with these modifications to make them known to our students in the classes. Therefore, our Spanish teacher training courses<\/a> <\/strong>for natives<\/a> <\/strong>and non-natives<\/a> are up to date.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In iNMSOL<\/a> <\/strong>we have already introduced these new updates of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language in its contents. Likewise, we put them into practice in the activities we carry out<\/a><\/strong> both in our Center and in Granada.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

What are the updates announced by the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language?<\/h2>\n

Spanish is a living language<\/strong> and, as such, evolves adapting to the times and social currents. Consequently, this creates communication needs.<\/strong> And, with that, the introduction of words in tune<\/strong> with the way of being and expressing oneself of today’s society.<\/p>\n

Based on this, on November 8, at the XVI ASALE Congress,<\/a><\/strong> the SAR announced the more than 1100 modifications<\/strong> that will be presented by the 23rd edition of the Spanish Language Dictionary (DLE).<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

La Rae, in this edition, will introduce 229 new articles<\/strong>. He considers that these are not ephemeral words and that they are sufficiently documented to be introduced.<\/p>\n

Some of the new updates of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language include<\/strong> some such as \u2019anti-bullfighting<\/a><\/strong>\u2019, \u2018zasca<\/a><\/strong>\u2019, \u2018brunch<\/a><\/strong>\u2019 and \/ or \u2018casoplon<\/a><\/strong>\u2019. New voices that enter the text for the first time.<\/p>\n

As we said, the RAE has presented this November 8, 2019 the updates of the dictionary of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language. The most striking<\/strong> are undoubtedly the 88 new meanings<\/strong> of existing terms and the 229 amendments.<\/strong><\/p>\n
